What is it? A spread that mimics peanut butter, but with a clever twist: it’s made out of chickpeas.

What’s clever about that? Two words: school lunch boxes.

Actually that’s three words. Don’t be an arse. The point is that this product – the brainchild of an Aussie mum – sidesteps school bans on nut products, which treat your regular peanut butter sanger like an improvised explosive device.

Important to keep anaphylactic kids safe though. Absolutely. And the good news is that the taste and texture of PeaNOT Butter (which is available in crunchy and smooth) is very much like the real thing. It’s also gluten, soy and dairy free.
